Data controller

Data we collect

When you book a session: your name, email, WhatsApp, company (optional), the topic and your answers to the pre-session form; payment is processed by Tilopay and we never see your card details. When you use the contact form: name, email, phone (optional), company (optional), your area of interest and your message. For security, the server logs minimal technical data, such as your IP address, to prevent abuse and spam. If you accept analytics cookies, also browsing data (pages visited, device and browser type, approximate city or country, where you came from and clicks on contact buttons) linked to a random identifier, not to your name.

How we use it

To answer your inquiry, send you the information or quote you requested and follow up on that conversation. Analytics data, to understand in aggregate how the website is used and improve it. We never sell or rent your data.

Legal basis

We process your data based on the informed consent you give by ticking the form checkbox and, for analytics, by accepting the cookie notice, under Costa Rica’s Law on the Protection of Individuals regarding the Processing of their Personal Data (Law 8968).

Retention

We keep your data for as long as needed to handle your inquiry and for at most 24 months after our last contact, unless you ask us to delete it sooner or the law requires us to keep it.

Who we share it with

Only with technology providers that help us run the website, email, scheduling, payments and client follow-up (for example, our hosting provider, Google Calendar and Google Meet for sessions, Tilopay to process payments, and our client management system and, if you accept analytics cookies, Google through Google Analytics), acting on our behalf under confidentiality obligations, and with authorities when required by law.

Your rights

You can request access, correction or deletion of your data, and withdraw your consent at any time, by writing to contacto@founder-check.com. You may also contact Costa Rica’s data protection agency (PRODHAB).

Security

We apply reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your data, such as encrypted connections (HTTPS) and restricted access to information.

Cookies and analytics

We use Google Analytics 4, a Google service, to measure in aggregate how the website is used and improve it. It only turns on if you accept it in the cookie notice: if you reject it or make no choice, our site loads nothing from Google (except what the newsletter form may use, see below).

With your consent, Google Analytics stores first-party cookies (_ga and _ga_…) with a random identifier that lasts up to 13 months. We do not use advertising features or Google Signals, and advertising permissions always stay off. We keep analytics data for at most 14 months. Google processes this data on our behalf and may do so outside Costa Rica.

Your choice is saved in your browser (local storage) for 12 months. You can change it at any time from “Cookie preferences” at the bottom of every page; you can also clear your browser cookies or install the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on.

We also keep in your browser, for up to 90 days, where you arrived from (campaign, referring site and landing page; never personal data). It only reaches us if you send a form or book a session, and we use it to learn which channels work. If you reject cookies, it is deleted.

The newsletter form is provided by beehiiv, the platform we use to send it. It only loads when you reach that section, and beehiiv may use its own cookies and measurement tools (including Google Tag Manager) under its own privacy policy. If you don’t want it to load, don’t scroll down to the newsletter or block third-party cookies in your browser.

Changes

If we update this policy, we will publish the new version on this page with its update date.
